Hello Gators,

I have attached next week's schedule.  There are a few changes...evening Red/Green practice is now from 7:45-9:30 PM.  I have also added a clinic on Saturday, June 27...8-9 AM will be Breast/Fly and 9-10 will be Back/Free.  We have our first HOME swim meet on Wednesday, June 24...warm ups are at 4:30!  Please try to come to the Starts/Turns & Meeting on Wednesday morning so that we can get your swimmer events on hands prior to warm ups.  The pool does not close until 4:30...you will not be allowed to enter or bring in coolers until after the public has cleared the deck.  Gators should park down at the BQC side or back lots to allow our guests the pool lot.  Fuzzy's will be providing concessions!

Team picnic on Friday, 6:30-9:30...time improvement ribbons from LMST and all Glenmore ribbons will be distributed.  Please check your family folder on Monday to pick up ribbons from the first two meets.  I have attached the meet results from the LMST and posted current 2015 top times on the Gator Bulletin Board.

JSL Ad forms are due soon...please turn in your ads to POGA members at the front desk or to person working the snack cart.  If there is not anyone at either of these places you may give the ad/money to Coach Debra

Swim-A-Thon is coming up on July 3....forms are available at the front desk if you have misplaced yours.  Money may be collected and turned in at any point to POGA members at front desk, snack cart or Coach Debra.

Have a great weekend, see you on Monday!

Hello Gators,

Summer is almost here and it is time to think about getting wet!! I would like to welcome the new families to our team and look forward to getting to know you all this summer. We are having our Gator Kick Off Picnic on May 18, from 2-5 PM at the LCAF! Families should bring a covered dish and dessert, the team will provide hot dogs, utensils and condiments. The pool will be open to all family members so bring your suit and towels!!

There will be a team registration meeting on May 12 from 6:30 – 8:00 PM at the Betty Queen Center. If you haven’t had the opportunity to register I hope to see you there! You may also register at the opening picnic or during any Gator time at the pool. Registration forms are available on the Gator team website at www.louisagators.org and may be mailed to POGA (Parents of Gator Association), P O Box 1373, Louisa, VA 23093. The team fee is now $185 for first swimmer and $175 for additional swimmers. The prep course fee is $75 and will be credited towards the team fee when swimmers move onto the team.

The POGA Board has just approved the 2014 swim season schedule which I have attached for your convenience. The schedule is a bit different from previous years in order to address some of the ideas from last year’s survey. Please note, the evening schedule for Red and Green varies each night to reduce the number of late nights for families. As always, the schedule is subject to change depending upon weather, LCPRT activities and swimmer registration.

Returning swimmers should attend the same color practice as they finished last season. New swimmers will need to be evaluated and should come at 6:00 PM for the first practice in order to identify skill levels. In the event your family attends the Kick Off picnic, your swimmers will be evaluated at that time.

Please feel free to contact me or POGA board members if you have any questions! The Swimmer Handbook should be available in the next week and will also answer many questions. In the event your family is unable to participate this summer, please let me know so I can remove you from the mailing list. I look forward to seeing you all VERY SOON!!
